About Tracy Nicklas

In 1992, Tracy Nicklas relocated from Texarkana
to Nacogdoches to study environmental
science and biology at SFA. To support his
education, he took on carpentry projects in
Nacogdoches. As he progressed in his studies,
his passion for woodworking grew, leading him
to specialize in fine woodworking. In 2009, Tracy
established Tracy’s Custom Carpentry.

Tracy and his wife, Merci, reside just three miles
outside Nacogdoches on a cozy farm. They
they raise Lamancha goats and produce
